THICK / thin teeth ‘mesh’ with your chains shape delivering much greater chain holding capability than a standard ring.
For many riders the use of a chain-guide will not be needed when paired with a clutch type derailleur though this will depend on exact setup (correct chain tension, suspension travel etc) and type of riding (DH riding with long travel frames)
We recommend those racing may wish to run an upper-only guide to retain 100% reliability.
